Sharpton arrested, again. Noted racist should give up on race relations and go back to fraud - at least nobody dies.

The reverend was up to his antics in New York City again, leading another riot. Seems to be about the only thing he is good at. He’s tried politics and failed. He’s tried acting - and if you’ve seen his appearance on Boston Legal you’d agree - he failed. He’s tried marriage and failed. He’s also tried education, at Brooklyn College, and failed. He’s tried debating (I’m thinking of the one with Christopher Hitchens here) and failed pretty badly. About the only thing he succeeded at was screwing the City of New York out of $200 000 in a settlement reached back in 2003.

For those of you that think of him as a decent man trying his best to promote equality (or even superiority) for blacks in America I’d like to take you back to 1989. He was arrested and charged for stealing $250 000 from a fund he setup to help young people. In relation to this event Mr. Sharpton was asked about paying taxes (one of the charges was tax-evasion), his brilliant and well constructed reply was “‘no black person owes anything”. Wow..

Let’s attempt to analyze another of the scholars remarks. “White folks was in caves while we was building empires … We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.” Actually there’s nothing to analyze, this remark stands on its own don’t you think?

Here’s Mr. Sharpton’s view on the topic of a fair pay for a fair day’s work. While working for himself during the 2004 presidential election one of his invoiced items was over $145 000 for ‘Fundraising Letter Preparation — Kinko’s’. Wow - must have been some frigging nice letter.

Now for more serious offenses. In 1991 he can be directly blamed for the death of Yankel Rosenbaum by mobilizing demonstrators and marching in a Jewish neighborhood. Nice to get publicity for yourself but at what cost? He can also be held accountable for more deaths at Freddy’s Fashion Mart when his gang shoots and burns 7 workers.

Just for fun perhaps some Judge in NYC will look at Mr. Sharpton and say “No Bail!” and have a trial date set.

Mr. Sharpton is some piece of work. He seems to have a knack for finding trouble mostly in the name of self-promotion. The authorities should come down hard on him, enough is enough.

I roll my eyes every time I hear Al Sharpton’s name. He is never associated with good news….Ever!

I agree with you completely. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are only in things for themselves. Martin Luther King Jr. rolls in his grave every time one of them speaks.

Rhonda, what do you go to work for? Someone else? if you have a problem, scorn the media who sticks a camera in his face everytime he wants them to. And, Jackson and Sharpton are a different class of character.

Sharpton is a Thorn in his peoples side and they don’t even know it. A great man like Mlk should never be mentioned in the same breath as Sharpton. Also, don’t forget about Tawana Brawely. Sharton was the only one to benefit here also.
