Usain Bolt has broken the 100 meter tarck record with a time of 9.72s.
Due to his lanky frame and height of 6 foot 4, Usain Bolt was more of a two hundred meter specialist. He was using to 100 meter race as a tune up and hadn’t yet decided to run the 100 meter race at the upcoming Beijing Olymoics. I’m pretty certain that a decision was reached tonight after his blazing performance in the 100 meter.

According to the Toronto Star Barry Melrose will resurrect his NHL coaching career in sunny Florida, that meca of ice, winter sports and Canadian beer;you could walk around the city of Tampa Bay for a week and never see an NHL Jersey. Of course there is a little matter of firing the Stanley cup winning coach that still occupies that office, namely John Tortorella. Most hockey insiders thought that Tortorella would be on his way out this summer but few would have guessed at Melrose getting the job. Then again Melrose along with Wayne Gretzky did a lot to rekindle interest in hockey in the Los Angeles area and Tampy Bay needs more kindling than almost any other city, except perhaps Phoenix and New Jersey.

The hybrid car makes me think of charcoal, at least for now. If stuck in the wild with only smelly, bad tasting water around, it can be used (charcoal, not the hybrid) to filter the water with the end result being some slightly sweet tasting liquid. It won’t get rid of the deadly bacteria that might be doing the doggy paddle in it but at least it’ll taste nice.
A recent study concluded that it’ll be several years before green cars are greener than those that currently burn solely fossil fuels. All the work that went into producing the vehicle seems to have racked up a rather hefty green bill of sorts and it’s going to take some time to catch up. I think it’s safe to say that the hybrid has caught on and will probably continue to sell well for a while. Ford is in a bit of a financial pickle, even more so now than they were before, since gas prices have been soaring high. They had the opportunity to start a line of hybrid cars years ago but didn’t want to have to deal with the upfront financial loss that would come with doing so. Toyota was slightly less nearsighted when they realized that people would be looking for Ways to Beat Rising Gas Prices sooner rather than later.

Facebook User-Friendly makeover in the works
It seems that those who run Facebook are gearing up to overhaul the site. Apparently they’re planning on making it more user friendly for those who I guess have a rather limited understanding of the internet and its various offerings. I personally have not had any problems with the site but I guess a little tweaking here and there can’t hurt. Progress is good, right?
Perhaps the new changes will include an abandonment of those annoying applications that so many people seem to love so much. I’ve never understood why someone would want to invite me to an application that’s all about peas. Who likes peas? Nobody likes peas. Even peas don’t like peas. Just because creating a silly application is an option doesn’t mean people have to run with it and beat it to death and then broadcast their love of peas to everyone. Have I mentioned how silly peas are?

Democrats finally choose Obama
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have all but confirmed that the race to select the next President of the United States will be all over by next Wednesday. Any undecided super delegates will be pressed to make a final decision once Tuesday’s primaries are over. There will be a large Barack Wins Nomination banner leading most newspapers next Wednesday morning.

Amazon to offer Movies as downloads within weeks
Amazon.com has just announced they they will be getting into the streaming video game. If you asked most folks what the future experience of watching videos at home would be like most would have said that it would probably stream from the Internet.
